The notion that I was painting soul images hit me one day while painting in my cozy attic apartment in Denver. The works I made in Denver grew out of the Hamlin Street Series; continuing the impulse to build a stack of painted paper. The dance begins by choosing two opposing colors on the color wheel. As I said in my artist statement, I allow the paint or drawing materials to dance on the page.
These original Soul Image paintings were created on Arches archival hot press watercolor paper with professional grade oil paint. Paintings arrive matted, backed on archival foam core and encased in a plastic sleeve at no extra charge. Each work is signed and dated; accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Shipping is included.
A framed painting will cost an additional $250.00. This includes frame, plexiglass, mat, archival backing and shipping. Click here to add a frame. Should you prefer to frame the works yourself and don’t know where to begin, I can guide you. Shoot me an email and I will connect you with an excellent framer in your area.
