After a year of drawing on brown wrapping paper, returning to 100% cotton rag, archival pastel paper was like emerging from a hike in the Grand Canyon to find yourself starring at a five star restaurant. A five star restaurant unconcerned one’s hot, dry and dusty appearance.
“Mysterious Slumber” was drawn on paper purchased at my all time favorite Berkeley art store, Amsterdam Art. The piece began in Oakland, Ca and completed while living in Rhode Island. A vaguely figurative piece, and a different stream of consciousness.
